ATTENDANCE
Because a
student learns vital information in their classes, attendance is very
important. If you have an excused absence from class, you are able to make up
the assignment, but you will have missed the class discussions which are very
important to your success. It is the student’s responsibility to find out what
the assignment was, and to get the daily notes from one of your classmates. You
will have 2 days to get the assignment in.
Absences must
be excused by a parent or guardian. An excused absence is one that appears on
the resolve list or on a yellow slip from attendance. Absences must be excused
within 48 hours of the absence. Each time a student has had 5 unexcused
absences, an attendance alert will be sent to the student’s counselor and
parent/guardian. You may not make up the work or test if you have an unexcused
absence!
Every 3
tardies result in 1 detention. Detentions that have not been served will result
in an incomplete grade.
GRADES
Homework/Classwork
will be given daily. Homework/Classwork will count for 40% of your grade. Each assignment is worth 10 points. If you want
full credit, you will show all necessary work and get most of the answers
correct. 5 points will be given to assignments that are complete, and at least
50% correct. I will accept only 1 late assignment for each quarter. Turn your
assignments in when they are due!
Daily warm-ups
and notes will count for 10% of your
grade. You will turn these in each time you have a quiz or test.
Tests and
Quizzes will count for 50% of your
grade.
Your overall
grade is based on the following percentages:

Below 55%=F
DISCIPLINE PLAN
