Class Expectations for Mr. Smith

1. Do not be late to class. Each third tardy will be treated as an unexcused absence.
2. Do not miss class. Each 5th unexcused absence will be followed up by a referral and a call home. Numerous absences can’t help but impact your grade in a negative way.
3. Do not bring the following to class: pop, candy, chips, compact disc players, cell phones and pagers.
4. Profanity and racial slurs and demeaning comments are absolutely prohibited. They will be dealt with by referral and possible expulsion from class or school.
5. Grading Policy: There are 100 points possible in the 9 weeks. 90% is an A, 80% is a B, 65% is a C, and 50% is a D. Each two weeks comprises a unit. There is a 20 point test to end each unit and 5 points for assignments. These four 25 point units will be the sole basis of the grade. If you miss a test, you will take the makeup during the last week of the 9 weeks. If you haven’t missed a test, you may choose to retake your the test you scored the lowest on.
