Course Requirements

Please read carefully, and sign below to acknowledge you have read and understand the conditions set forth.

Attendance Policy:

Late work is accepted with full credit.

Participation points are awarded on a daily basis.

No make-up for participation points or a missed in-class activity, such as:

oral readings, impromptu writings, surprise quizzes. A different assignment may be available upon request to make up for the lost grade. No exceptions.

It is the student’s responsibility to request missed work.

It is the student’s responsibility to request from a classmate any information presented in class when the student was absent.

Grading Policy:

Points accumulate for the entire semester.

Grade will be based on the following scale:

90% - 100% = A

80% - 89% = B

65% - 79% = C

50% - 64% = D

Failure is not an option

Expectations:

Be on time ready to work.

Complete and turn in all assignments.

All writings are to be the student’s own work.

All writings will be shared aloud with the class.

All assignments should be in blue or black ink.

Final drafts should be typed.

Be yourself, be creative, have fun.
