General Policies Mr. Dixon 2004-2005

1. Tardies - No warm up points given on days you are tardy. Every 3 tardies (less than 10 minutes late) result in a detention owed. Detentions not made up within 1 week result in a referral to Mr Johnson.

2. Unexcused absences are required to be made up within 1 week as a detention. Failure to do this will result in a referral to Mr. Johnson. No credit is given for that day.

3. Each student is responsible for bringing their own pencil, paper, calculator, and book to class each day. (Pen is not accepted)

4. Each student is responsible for getting their own make-up work when absent.

5. The teacher does not loan pencils or any other materials.

6. Tests and quizzes count 52% of the grade. Semester Test counts 20% of the total grade.

7. Make up tests should be taken within one week or if not, you may be receiving a 0 on that test

8. Warm up exercises count 8% of the grade.

9. Daily work counts 20% of the grade and must be complete and show necessary work. Assignments are due the following school day at the beginning of the period. The only excuse accepted is an excused absence. Late, half credit.

10. Grading Scale: 90 - 100% = A

80 - 89% = B

70 - 79% = C

60 - 69% = D

Below 60% = F

Pass no-pass forms are due at the start of the 5th week.

11. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

12. A limit of 4 hall passes are allowed per 9 weeks. Make sure you have your form with you in order to use it.

13. Any cell phone, walkman, or pager seen or heard by the teacher will result in the item being taken away and returned at the end of the day.

14. Any student using their graphing calculator to play games in class will have the calculator taken away for the period and a phone call will be made home.

15. No food or drink in room.
