GOVERNMENT SYLLABUS
Government is a semester long class that fulfills a graduation requirement. This class will cover our responsibilities as citizens in a democratic society and the give and take in local, state, and federal government.
Assignments will consist of group debates, oral reports, current events assignments, and written work.
Grading Scale:
100 - 90% A
89 - 80% B
79 - 70% C
69 - 60% D
59% or less F
Students are expected to complete written and oral assignments independently and / or in small groups. Students will also earn grades for their small group, team work effort.
Late independent work will be accepted up to two weeks past the due date for partial credit.
Alternative assignments will be provided for missed group work.
Assignments missed due to excused absences can be made up for full credit if turned in promptly. Students have the same number of days absent, to makeup missed work for full credit.
