PROCESSING I
Course Requirements
This course provides
students with continued instruction in the formatting of business documents
including layout and design, reports, correspondence, tables, and more. Word processing skills and applications
using Microsoft Word are further developed in various business
simulations. Enhancement of keyboarding
skills through skillbuilding activities and timings is also emphasized.
Through an agreement with
Lane Community College, students receiving a grade of “B” or better can receive
6 college credits! Earn 3 credits for
BT 120, Business Word Processing, and 3 credits for BT 142, Document Formatting
1. These credits may be transferable to
other Oregon community colleges or four-year universities.
Four areas of focus will be
graded:
Assignments will be graded
on a point basis. Skillbuilding and
timings will be graded on a completion and improvement basis.
Each student will receive
100 points at the beginning of each quarter.
For each unexcused absence, 10 points will be deducted. For each tardy, 5 points will be
deducted. These points will be figured
into your final quarter and semester grades.
Quarter/Semester Grades: 100-90% A
89-80% B
79-70% C
69-60% D
