Attendance:
To be a successful student it is necessary
to attend class on a regular basis; a professional production requires
commitment. Broadcast time if
missed can not be made up.
Tardy Policy:
1. If a student is more
than 10 minutes late to class, the tardy is considered an absence. If the tardy is excused, it is an excused
absence. If the tardy is unexcused, it is an unexcused
absence .
2. For every (3) unexcused
tardies in a nine-week period, the student must participate in a limited number
of community service projects including:
a. school grounds maintenance
arranged w/ Assistant Principal
b. attend school’s
detention room when available
c. during weekly activity
period w/teacher
3. Failure to comply with
the tardy policy will result in Saturday School.
Make-up Work:
Regardless
of the reason for the absence, it is the student's responsibility to initiate
request for make-up work. Make-up
work in this class will be difficult at best – most time will be spent
either in production or broadcasting, both of which require daily attendance.
Majority of this
class will be working in groups and members will critique each other on their:
attendance, cooperation, helpfulness, willingness to work, work ethic
and quality of work.
