Tests & Quizzes:

There will be several tests for each chapter in the book. If you are absent on the day of a test it is your responsibility to arrange a time to make up your test. You have one week to arrange a time to make up missing tests or you may receive a zero on that test.

Assignments:

Assignments are graded as follows: (+) make an effort on every problem, show work where necessary, and 75% or more correct is worth 10 points, (√) show work where necessary and 50-74% correct is worth 5 points, and (-) no work shown or less than 50% correct is worth 2 points. LATE HOMEWORK WILL ONLY RECEIVE HALF CREDIT AND MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE THE TEST ON EACH SECTION.

Attendance:

Attendance in class is crucial to success. If you know in advance that you are going to miss class get work ahead of time so that you don’t fall behind. Assignments and upcoming tests and quizzes will be posted on the school web site on a weekly basis so students and parents can access class work and homework assignments from any computer with internet access, the address is ths.sps.lane.edu.

Tardies: A tardy is defined as no more than 10 minutes late to class. For every three tardies you will receive a 30- minute detention.

Absences: All absences must be cleared through the attendance office within 48 hours to be excused. If an absence is unexcused you will not be able to make up the work from that day for credit, this applies to homework assignments, in-class assignments, and tests and quizzes.
