Course Description: This class will help you increase your comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Español.

Course Objective: Class communication is primarily in Spanish. Spanish cultural studies will continue (local & global). Students will further develop comprehension of how the Spanish language is used (conjugation, verb tenses, & vocabulary). Students will carry on conversations that are used in “real- life” in different tenses (oral proficiency). Also, students will read literature in Spanish.

Grading Policy: Grades will be based on combined points of quizzes, checksheets, station work, dialogues, homework and chapter tests.

88.5% - 100% = A

78.5% - 88.4% = B

68.5% - 78.4% = C

58.5% - 68.4% = D

Quizzes: Every Tuesday & Friday. Students will know what they need to study for all the quizzes.

Attendance: In order to be successful students must come and participate in class. One detention will be assigned for each unexcused absence.

Tardies: Students will owe an afterschool detention for 3 tardies. I will call and notify the parents. Also, if detentions are not made up an Incomplete will be on the report card until the detention is made up.

Assignments: Assignments are due at the beginning of the period. Late work will be marked down a letter grade. Students who are absent may make up the work. Upon the return of the student, they will have 2 school days for each day absent to make up the assignments.
