Friday cards can be an effective tool for parents to monitor academic progress. It is not uncommon for 5 or 6 students per class to request friday card information from teachers. Students pick up Friday cards on tables in the counseling center and main office, and then give them to their teachers at the beginning of each period. On the card teachers record absences, tardies, and missing assignments for the week, and then list the current grade and sign their initials.
